The health score of Yard Vibes Caribbean Restaurant in Snellville dropped from 95/A to 40/U due to several risk factor violations during a routine inspection.

Raw pork sausage, fish, shrimp and various cuts of beef were on top of vegetables in the freezer. Also, the pork was in a container with raw chicken.

Tripe and beans, jerk chicken, cow tongue, whipping cream and canned pumpkin were out of the safe temperature range and were discarded. In addition, several of these food items needed to be date-marked for disposal.

Cooked cabbage was not appropriately cooled to a safe temperature within four hours to prevent contamination.

Sugar, flour and beans were stored under cleaning items, butane lighters were on the prep table and the butane fuel was in the dry food storage.

Serving utensils were in tepid water between uses, and several pans and other items were stacked while still wet.

Employees did not wash their hands when switching between tasks.

Yard Vibes Caribbean Restaurant, 3400 Centerville Highway, will be re-inspected.
