During the design phase of the Sugar Hill greenway project, the city decided to seek out a separate contractor for wayfinding signage and accessories. Following a recent search, the Sugar Hill City Council awarded a $137,533 contract to the Norcross-based IMG to develop a design, manufacture and install all wayfinding signage for phase I of the greenway project.

Funds for this project are available from the 2017 SPLOST program.

The contract includes identification signage at entrance points to trail, wayfaring signage along the trail, location identifiers, pylon signs, a mile marker zero medallion and solar area lighting.
