The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking feedback about a proposed solution to improve traffic conditions and reduce crashes at the intersection of Ga. 53, Ednaville Road and New Cut Road. The public comment period ends Oct. 4 for the virtual project open house.

The public is encouraged to visit the virtual Public Information Open House at www.tinyurl.com/BraseltonRoundabout and fill out the short survey.

This proposed project will replace the existing two-way stop with an oval shaped roundabout at the intersection.

Crash data from 2014-2019 show this intersection has experienced a total of 70 crashes, 26 of which involved angle collisions, 27 involved read-end collisions, and 22 involved injuries.

Written statements can be sent to Eric. Duff, State Environmental Administrator, GDOT, 600 West Peachtree Street, NW – 16th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30308.
