In three separate votes, the Norcross City Council recently approved funding to support ongoing non-profit programs in the city.

Norcross approved $25,000 in funding for administration of the Motel-to-Home Program provided by the United Way of Greater Atlanta, Inc. The Motel to Home program is a designed to help families move from extended-stay motels to more stable housing.

The city also approved $35,000 for the services of a project manager for the LiveNorcross program provided by the Gwinnett Housing Corporation. The LiveNorcross funding provides gap funding from January 1, 2022, through the end of the city’s fiscal year. Funding for the remainder of calendar year 2022 will likely be requested in the city’s next budget process. LiveNorcross works to provide housing options for families of all income levels.

In their final non-profit vote, the city approved $7,999 for the Norcross Basketball Booster Club.
