The Georgia Department of Transportation, with the help of their construction partners, will open the new roundabout on Ga. 211 at Old Hog Mountain Road and Covered Bridge Road in Hoschton Wednesday, Oct. 6. Signs are posted.

This project is intended to enhance safety, reduce crash frequency and severity, and improve traffic operations.

Message signs, barrels and cones will be used to alert the public of the upcoming changes. The roundabout opening will take place as planned unless inclement weather prevents. Drivers are reminded to slow down in the area, watch for workers, and use caution while learning how to drive in the new roundabout.

This roundabout has been designed to accommodate the future widening of Ga. 211 to a four-lane roadway. The overall project is expected to be complete by late April 2022.
