The new roundabout at Ga. 13/Buford Highway at Russell Street in Suwanee has opened ahead of schedule. Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners opened the new roundabout Friday, Sept. 10. The project has an estimated completion date of May 2022.

Remaining landscaping and peripheral work continues. Drivers are asked to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers.

Roundabouts at intersections have been proven to be safer, while also improving traffic flow. The Georgia Department of Transportation has a helpful video to help drivers learn how to navigate roundabouts at www.dot.ga.gov/DS/Alternative/Roundabouts.
