Gwinnett Animal Welfare and Enforcement has adjusted their hours of operation at the Bill Atkinson Animal Welfare Center due to seasonal changes in daylight hours.

The shelter and office at 884 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville will open one and close one hour sooner.

The new adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Office hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday hours remain unchanged, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The animal shelter is closed to the public on Sundays.

The new adoption hours will remain in place through Feb. 28.
