The Duluth City Council recently approved a $99,555 contract with Pavement Technology, Inc. for the city’s 2021 Asphalt Rejuvenation project.

Asphalt Rejuvenation is cost-effective alternative to full pavement replacement. The method includes applying a penetrating sealer to pavement to replace ingredients that are lost over time due to exposure to sun and other elements. Correct application of this treatment at the right time extends the life of the road and helps reduce maintenance costs.

Funds for this project will come from the 2017 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program.
