Braselton will hold a public hearing to discuss the 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan update at 4 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Facility, 5040 Highway 53.

This hearing will provide the public with the objective of the plan and the process to be followed in preparation of the plan update, as well as give the community an opportunity to provide input on needs and goals.

The proposed update indicates $10.9 million over five years for public buildings, including a library addition, $10 million for highway and thoroughfare improvements, $2.7 million for greenspace and recreation, and $32.2 million for water and sewer improvements. Funding for these proposed projects comes from a variety of sources including grants, reserves, and SPLOST.

The town is required by the state to annually update the capital projects plan, which covers a span of 5 years. Information: www.tinyurl.com/BraseltonPlans.
