Tyrone is exploring the idea of creating a museum dedicated to preserving town history, and is seeking public input for the concept. Officials there are hosting a meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 in the former council chambers at 881 Senoia Road (the Hopewell Church building) to introduce the concept and gauge public interest in the project. Masks will be required for entry to the meeting.

Tyrone recently completed its new Town Hall at 950 Senoia Road and will hold a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. on Dec. 10; socially distanced tours of the facility will follow. The administrative offices have already moved to the new site, making the former building available for redevelopment.

A dedication ceremony for Tyrone’s new Veterans Park statue, originally scheduled for Nov. 16, has not yet been rescheduled. Details for all are at www.tyrone.org.
