A free Thanksgiving Holiday Giveaway and Health Fair will be held 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 20 at the Clarkston Community Center, 3701 College Ave., Clarkston.

Sponsors are the Clarkston Cares Food Pantry and Mercer School of Pharmacy.

Among the giveaways will be smartphones to eligible households, bikes and food.

Related to this event and future food drives, cans of nonperishable food items are being collected in person 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Fridays at the Clarkston Community Center (CCC) or online through Amazon at amzn.to/3F3xt4t.

Also, until Nov. 30, the CCC is hosting a Coat/Jacket Drive for puff jackets, trench coats, windbreakers and every other type of coat or jacket for all ages.

Items should be clean and in good condition and donated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Fridays at the CCC.

These coats and jackets will be given to families who participate in the Clarkston Cares Food Pantry distributions.
