"We recently saw a rat snake on our back porch steps," wrote Nancy Payne of Marietta. "Notice the nice meal in its middle, perhaps one of the chipmunks that live close by, or a rat or a bird. It then climbed out on a limb of the dogwood tree and stayed for 24 hours digesting the meal. Hope we don’t see it again!"
