A former farm is being cleared for Tapp Farm - not another farm but a community of attached town houses and single-family detached houses in Powder Springs.

At 3625 Powder Springs Road on nearly 21 acres, the community will include 77 single-family units, 33 townhomes, a pool, a clubhouse and direct access to the Silver Comet Trail.

In business for 50 years, Traton Homes is headquartered in Marietta as a family-owned business, with the founders being brothers Bill and Milburn Poston.
