Kennesaw city officials invite scarecrow designs for the “Scarecrows on Main” display.

Participation is free.

The application and information packets can be found on the city’s website at kennesaw-ga.gov/download/scarecrows-on-main-2021.

The deadline for applications is Sept. 16.

Applications may be returned to Kennesaw Communication and Engagement Manager Rebecca Graham at rgraham@kennesaw-ga.gov or by mail at 2529 J. O. Stephenson Ave., Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Kennesaw city officials will upload images of each scarecrow to their Facebook page at facebook.com/CityOfKennesaw, where the community will be invited to cast their vote for their favorite scarecrows.

The top three scarecrows will be awarded a “People’s Choice” award.

Then the scarecrow with the most votes will receive bragging rights and a $100 prize.

The second place will receive a $50 prize and the third place a $25 prize.
