Registration is open for the community to participate in Marietta’s 17th Annual Veterans Day Parade at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 on the Marietta Square.

Sponsors will be the city of Marietta and the Kiwanis Club of Marietta.

As in previous years, the 1.5-mile parade will line up at 9:15 a.m. and begin at 10:45 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church, 774 Roswell St., Marietta, continue toward the Marietta Square and back down Lawrence Street.

The parade is designed to honor all veterans and commemorate those who have paid the ultimate price in serving the United States of America.

Parade participants are encouraged to return to the Marietta Square to hear the Grand Marshal, Col. Patrick E. Campbell, U.S. Air Force (retired) and participate in the Veterans Day Ceremony.
