Through Nov. 5, Powder Springs city officials will accept comments on the city’s Springs in Motion Comprehensive Plan Draft Document.

This plan includes Chapter 1: Community Assessment, Chapter 2: Community Priorities, Chapter 3: Community Vision and Chapter 4: Implementation.

The short-term work plan covers 2022 through 2026.

Project areas include Economic Development (26 goals), Land Use (6 goals), Community Facilities (13 goals), Natural & Historic Resources (6 goals) and Transportation (7 studies).

Among the notable changes would be to build a downtown parking garage, recruit a developer for the mixed-use remodel of the existing town square and, in 2023, complete the Linear Park.
