The Cherokee County Office of Emergency Management and Cherokee E 9-1-1 are hosting free Community Preparedness 101 classes for residents in May and June.

From 6-7:30 p.m., the classes will be held on May 25 and 31 and June 15 and 22 at various locations.

Registration is required at CherokeeGa.com/communications/media.php.

Residents can learn how to protect their homes and businesses during disasters.
