The Cherokee County School Board has approved a partnership agreement with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development that provides for collaboration with local industry and internship opportunities for high school students.

The school district also will send representatives to COED’s Cherokee Workforce Collaborative; provide bus transportation for students to workforce-related events, such as the Film Summit and Career Expo; and partner with COED on events that offer workforce training and job placement opportunities, among other actions.

The agreement runs through Dec. 10, 2021, and automatically renews for additional terms of five years. Information: https://bit.ly/2LtP2Er
