Cherokee County is extending to three weeks the public input period for each of the next two virtual meetings on the Hickory Flat Area Plan.

“Hickory Flat residents and businesses have the opportunity to share their vision of what Hickory Flat will look like over the next 20 years,” Cherokee Principal Planner Margaret Stallings said. “This is your opportunity to tell the county what you want to see in the area.”

The virtual meetings are Dec. 2-23 and Jan. 13-Feb. 3. To participate: www.hickoryflatareaplan.com

The first meeting, already concluded, was originally scheduled for two weeks, Oct. 21-Nov. 4, but was extended a week to Nov. 11.

The study area extends for a roughly two-mile radius from the intersection of Hickory Flat Highway and East Cherokee Drive. It encompasses more than 3,600 acres – 500 acres of which are in the city of Holly Springs. Information: https://bit.ly/367NNTi
