Jeans expert Scott Morrison, the founder of premium custom-made jeans company 3X1, never washes his jeans in the washing machine—and he suggests you don't either.

Instead, Morrison says to wait a few months until your pair of jeans really needs attention and then do a cold water bath before you hang it dry.
