Inman Park's Mint by Sandpiper houses discount designer brands

Sandpiper is a staple designer boutique in the heart of Vinings that has been around for 30 years. After huge success, it opened up a spinoff store Mint by Sandpiper last year in Inman Park. "Every year Inman Park is growing with new retailers and there's so much support from neighbors and other local small businesses," said Ariel Betancourt, sales specialist for Mint by Sandpiper and Sandpiper. Inman Park was the perfect location for its new clearance counterpart to Sandpiper.

Once boutique Sandpiper marks items 70 percent off, it sends them over to Mint by Sandpiper. This location also offers consignment. "We are unique from a typical consignment store because most of our pieces are brand new at discounted rates," said Betancourt. When you go here, you are getting a real deal. Think $50 for a pair of $150-plus jeans. Mint by Sandpiper offers fashions on clearance within the price range of $20 and $250 and sells top brands such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Joie and J Brand jeans. The store's best selling brands include Tibi, Milly and Citizens of Humanity denim.

This boutique is in a cute, upscale space with neatly lined clothing racks on the perimeter of the store. Not your typical consignment store look. "Each customer receives a personal styling session from our sales associates," said Betancourt.

Whether Mint by Sandpiper's items came from Sandpiper or a consignor, it only provides the best. "We are selective about the pieces we carry and believe in quality over quantity," said Betancourt. Mint by Sandpiper offers the best quality, trendy items seen on celebrities and in fashion magazines. The company's Instagram feed shows the latest celebrity trends that can be found in the store. The team styles pieces from head to toe so you can get a sneak peek of what is currently available and how you can rock it. You can dress like a celebrity and not pay celebrity prices.

July marks the one year anniversary of Mint by Sandpiper. The store participates in local festivals and its twice yearly Boutique Warehouse Sale, in January and July, is popular. Named "Best Discount Boutique" in Atlanta Magazine in 2015, Mint by Sandpiper is obtaining a following because of its amazing deals on top brands, with new product arriving just about every week.
