If sober January isn’t your thing and you’re ready to mix cocktails like a professional, Southern Art and Bourbon Bar has just the thing.

The Buckhead bar and restaurant, known for its signature cocktails, is holding a mixology class to share some of the tricks of the trade.

The restaurant’s head mixologist will lead the hands-on class on Jan. 18, which will focus on “winter-themed bourbon cocktails.”

"Not only will you get 'shaken and stirred' while enjoying an array of the bourbons we love, you'll also nosh on complimentary bites from Southern Art," a listing for the event reads.

If you’re looking to mix it up, tickets to attend the class are $45 and include a 20% discount if you stay for dinner at Southern Art.

Southern Art and Bourbon Bar is headed up by Art Smith and David Bartlett. Smith, a veteran chef, was Oprah Winfrey’s personal chef for 10 years and is a James Beard award winner. Bartlett spent time cutting his teeth in Macon, which he has combined with his own signature style.

The duo focuses on raising “Atlanta’s culinary standard, without compromising their Southern background.”

In addition to good eats, the establishment, locate din the Intercontinental hotel, has a selection of more than 70 bourbons to choose from.
