Greek church consecration: Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 3431 Trickum Road, in Marietta, will hold the rite of consecration during special services April 26 through April 27. Consecration is one of the major sacraments of the orthodox church. At 7 p.m. April 26, the Holy Relics of the Saints, Panteleimon the Great Martyr and Healer, Kyrikos the Martyr, and the Holy Fathers martyred at the Monastery of St. Savvas, will be brought to the sanctuary. At 8 a.m. April 27 the community will have the rite of the consecration. Open to public.
