The fourth annual The Farmer & The Chef dining and fundraiser event will be held Sept. 19 at The Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead.
Sponsored by the March of Dimes and Grady Health System, this year's event, which gets underway at 6 p.m., will feature culinary talent second to none.
Funds raised at the event help to support the March of Dimes' mission of ensuring that all babies are born healthy and will support, among other things, Community Grants and programs aimed to improve the health of mothers and babies, comprehensive prenatal education and volunteer mentoring programs to improve access to prenatal care and Centering Pregnancy, group prenatal care focused on empowering women to take control of their bodies, their pregnancies and their families.
Featured chefs include Kevin Rathbun, Todd Ginsberg, Eli Kirshtein, Franck Steigerwald and Andrea Kirshtein, who will prepare tasting samples from products provided by local farmers.
The March of Dimes supports Grady’s Centering Pregnancy program.
The Farmer & The Chef is chaired this year by Lindsay Caulfield, senior vice president of marketing and public affairs at Grady Health System.
“We are thrilled to bring top area chefs together with charitable Atlantans for the March of Dimes, an organization dear to Grady Health System,” Caulfield said in a press release. “This evening not only brings the best in Atlanta food, but also the best in Atlanta giving.”
