A visually impaired man who recently moved to Vancouver was reunited with his guide dog Monday after the dog wandered off and was identified the next day through a report on Facebook.

Blake Hardin, 28, recently moved from Alabama and had not yet gotten Beethoven, his 10-year-old Labrador retriever, new tags with updated contact information.
Hardin said he walked around the neighborhood with his cane, calling out to Beethoven for hours, but did not find his dog. He said Beethoven was not wearing his guide dog vest and he was worried what would happen to him.
Someone later found Beethoven on a street less than a mile away and took him into their home. A neighbor recognized the dog through a story posted to The Columbian's Facebook page.
Beethoven, a guide dog for a visually impaired Vancouver man, has been found and reunited with his owner after he went missing over the weekend.
