The small dog that survived after jumping off a bridge in Jacksonville, Florida, has been happily reunited with her owner.

As the Jacksonville Humane Society was trying to find a home for the Chihuahua-dachshund mix appropriately dubbed Bridgette, a neighbor of Robyn Goldfarb saw news coverage about the story. She immediately recognized the dog and contacted Goldfarb.

The dog, who's real name is Jane, has been reunited with her owner.

The four-pound dog somehow ended up running along the Mathews Bridge April 29 after escaping her home about a mile away.

Michelle Munley saw the little dog, got out of her car and tried to catch her.

But before she could reach her, the dog jumped off the bridge, a 152-foot drop into the St. Johns River. A nearby boater was flagged by Munley and rescued the dog.

Fortunately, the small dog survived the fall without major injury, in an event that has been dubbed the "Miracle on the Mathews."
