A Wisconsin couple faced a predicament  earlier this month.

Their cat wouldn't let them out of their home.

So what did they do? They did whatever anyone in an emergency situation would: Call 911.

The couple told authorities that their cat was holding them against their will and asked assistance finding someone who could help, WDJT reported.

The cat eventually was captured and turned over to animal control.
