If want you to cool off during the summer months, a stop by Swift-Cantrell Park in Kennesaw might have just what you need.

The park now has a 3,200-square-foot splash pad that offers wet fun for families with activities controlled by motion sensors.

The $425,770 project is a partnership between Kennesaw and Cobb County. The Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation also raised $40,000.

Activities include a fountain spray, ground geyser, jet stream, magic mist and several sea silhouettes.

The splash pad’s hours are seasonal and may change based on weather conditions. The season runs through Labor Day and is open every day, except for Thursdays, until July 30.

After July 30, the pad will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays until Labor Day.

Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Admission is $2. Children 2 and under are free. Children under 12 must be supervised .

Swift-Cantrell Park includes a dog area, walking trails, playgrounds, skate park and picnic areas.
