A Louisville family opened its home to a group of strangers this Thanksgiving.
The Richardson family served up a traditional Thanksgiving meal to a family of Syrian refugees.
The special guests were the first Syrian refugees to arrive in Louisville earlier this year, according to WHAS11. Eric Richardson extended the dinner invitation to the family of four with the aid of the Kentucky Refugee Center.
The Richardsons’ guests enjoyed turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and other traditional dishes, all of which they had never tasted before.
Richardson says the families discussed how life is different here in America. The Syrian refugee family has invited the Richardsons to their home for a traditional Syrian meal. The Richardson family has accepted.
