Emory Eye Center has received a one-year grant for $100,000 from Research to Prevent Blindness. The grant will help support research into the causes, treatment and prevention of blinding diseases.

The research will be directed by Timothy W. Olsen, director of the Emory Eye Center and chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, Emory University School of Medicine.

To date, RPB has awarded grants of more than $3 million to Emory for eye research.
