More than 170 passengers on the Crown Princess cruise ship have fallen ill with norovirus, The Associated Press reported Sunday.
The ship docked in San Pedro, California, on Sunday after 172 of the more than 4,100 passengers on board started showing signs of the illness.
The sick passengers were treated on the ship, which was traveling from Los Angeles to Hawaii and Tahiti.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention plans to investigate the outbreak, according to the AP.
