From cheese festivals to taco trucks and top-notch gourmet dining, Atlanta's eats scene is undoubtedly one of the tastiest.
And according to personal finance site WalletHub's "2017 Best Foodie Cities in America" list, the metro ranks among some of the best cities in the country.
To come up with the results, analysts examined the 150 most populated U.S. cities (plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state for a total of 182 cities) and compared them across two key dimensions: affordability and diversity/accessibility/quality.

The dimensions were evaluated based on 24 relevant metrics, including cost of groceries, average restaurant meal cost, high-rated restaurants per capita, food festivals, restaurant diversity and more.
Of the 182 cities ranked, San Francisco, California, earned top honors.

Though the California city ranked low (No. 151) in affordability, the city ranked No. 1 for diversity, accessibility and quality.
Here’s how Atlanta fared:
- Overall rank: 12
- Affordability rank: 106
- Diversity/accessibility/quality rank: 13
Atlanta jumped up two spots from WalletHub’s 2016 ranking.
Two other Georgia cities were also included on the list — Columbus (No. 150) and Augusta (No. 156).
