Flames billow where Hollywood's spotlights once played on the facade of Loew's Grand Theatre, the site of the 1939 world premiere of 'Gone with the Wind.' The fire destroyed most of the top three floors of the 86-year-old building, located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. January 1978.

The Loew's Grand Theatre was demolished in early February 1978 after a fire destroyed the historical building.
