An evening with White House insider Matt Nosanchuk

Matt Nosanchuk, White House director of Outreach for the National Security Council, will discuss a variety of topics during a visit to Atlanta at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Central Congregational United Church of Christ, 2676 Clairmont Road N.E.

The open forum is sponsored by Congregation Bet Haverim and the Anti-Defamation League .

Rabbi Joshua Lesser and Nosanchuk will discuss Nosanchuk’s work with the White House on Jewish issues, the Defense of Marriage Act, civil rights, social justice, foreign policy and international affairs. There will be a question and answer portion of the program

Nosanchuk formerly worked in the Justice Department and led the legal fight for civil rights for the LGBT community, specifically involving hate crimes and marriage equality.

Shelia has worked at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for more than 30 years. Previously, she worked at The Lexington Herald-Leader and The Louisville Defender.
