Many Atlantans are experiencing the challenges of caring for elderly relatives or facing the prospect of growing old themselves.

The 2013 Georgia USAging Conference will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Conference Center, 2450 Galleria Parkway.

Topics include having “The Talk” about aging and the future, options and resources, legal and financial issues and healthcare reform.

The one-day conference is sponsored by Senior Caregiving Today and Founder, and Chief Operating Office Clarice Dowdle, author of “Time for the Talk: The Ten Step Plan for Effective Senior Caregiving Today.”

The event is open to caregivers, clergy, industry professionals, active seniors, medical personnel, clergy and community organizers. CEU credit is also available for those who qualify.
