The Atlanta Police Mounted Patrol Unit took their horses to the Grant Park pool, and Commander Lt. Greg Lyon and his “partner,” Drifter, got a special greeting from a group of kids.

Lyon recorded the youngsters serenading Drifter with Lil Nas X’s hit song “Old Town Road,” which begins “I’m gonna take my horse to the Old Town Road.”

Lyon even sings along during part of the video, which Atlanta Police posted to its Instagram account.

“Thanks to the kids for cheering us on, we are going to ride ‘til we can’t no more!” APD said in the post.

These aren't the first children inspired to sing the Lithia Springs High School grad's song. Sheletta Brundidge of Minnesota credits the song with helping her nonverbal autistic 4-year-old find his voice.

On June 4, Brundidge tweeted a 10-second video of son Daniel and their “ ‘Old Town Road’ miracle.”

When the rapper called Brundidge, she couldn’t keep the tears from flowing.

“When you and Billy Ray Cyrus were in the studio together, and...he said, ‘Lil Nas X, you’re a light in this world, and you’re gonna shine bright in this universe,’ and let me tell you something, the light that is in you has shined on my son, and it has given him a clear path to how he is going to get healed from autism,” Brundidge said through tears.
