Walmart has announced a shopping event for Thursday that promises big savings and incredible finds, especially for gamers.

Starting at noon, Walmart Plus members can save up to 40% on a variety of items, including hard-to-find gaming consoles like the XBox X and PlayStation 5, MarketWatch reported.

“The shopping event builds on the retailer’s members-only experience during Black Friday, when Walmart+ members could shop all the great deals before anyone else,” the retail giant said in the announcement.

Walmart Plus costs $98 per year, or $12.95 per month, and provides members with free unlimited delivery, prescription savings, promotions and more.

If you plan to sign up exclusively to score a big-ticket item, skip the 15-day free trial. According to reports, Walmart’s mega sale won’t be available to trial members. After logging in to your Walmart account, head to www.walmart.com/plus, then scroll down and click “start paid membership.”

Six soldiers were honored, each receiving Meritorious Service Medals, Thursday for heroic actions responding to the shooting at Fort Stewart. “One of the things I can say unequivocally is that the fast action of these soldiers — under stress and under trauma and under fire — absolutely saved lives from being lost,” U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll told reporters as the six soldiers stood near him Thursday. “They are everything that is good about this nation.” (Hyosub Shin/AJC)
