A European entertainment producer called Exhibition Hub will bring an immersive sound-and-light show to an undisclosed Atlanta location this spring that promises to put visitors inside Van Gogh’s art.

“Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” will surround the viewer with 20,000 square feet of animated two-story projections. The show also features a virtual-reality walk-through, described as a day in the life of the artist, at extra cost.

The experience will probably appeal to those who lined up for Yayoi Kusama’s “Infinity Mirrors” exhibit at the High Museum, or visited the Candytopia pop up exhibit.

A similar immersive experience opened in Chicago this week, and the Chicago Tribune called it “super-trippy.”

It also won fans at a recent outing in Leicester, England.

Most visitors spend about 60 to 75 minutes at the exhibit. Organizers say the show will be COVID-19-safe and appropriate for all ages. Tickets are estimated to be $39.99 to $49.99 and can be purchased at vangoghexpo.com.

(The show is not to be confused with the 40-minute “Van Gogh Alive” multi-media experience seen last November at the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg.)

Tickets won’t be available until Wednesday, but the “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” website allows those seeking tickets to join a virtual queue today, at vangoghexpo.com.

Shows will begin May 19, and will take place seven days a week, at a location to be announced later.
