It's the first weekend of May, and all the weekend revelry kicks off with Cinco de Mayo.
If you still haven’t found just the right way to celebrate, there’s a bevy of underground parties across Atlanta this weekend featuring the top DJ's at some of the city’s crème de la crème spots.
Whether you're looking to day party for Cinco de Mayo or hitting up a late-night set, we want to help you kick off the month of May by bringing you the best parties to enjoy this weekend.
Here are four of the top underground parties to attend this weekend:
3 p.m. Friday, May 5
Elleven45 Lounge
2110 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta
Elleven45 Lounge is celebrating Cinco de Mayo all day on Friday by having So Kold Entertainment host a "Patron Flow" Day Party on their patio beginning at 3 p.m Friday. The dance club is welcoming those who are 21 and up in for free and says there will be no lines. At 10 p.m., the celebration will switch gears to the big Cinco de Mayo bash where ladies will get in free all night, and guys can get in free before midnight. The party lasts until 3 a.m.
Register for the event before it's too late, because it's almost sold out on Eventbrite.
Elleven45 is a newer contemporary club in Buckhead that is known for its sophistication and swankiness. You will find certified mixologists, hookah and three different room atmospheres at the lounge.
10 p.m. Friday, May 5
Suite Lounge
375 Luckie St., Atlanta
Radio and TV host Big Tigger from V-103 The People's Station is hosting Suite Life Friday's NFL Takeover Rooftop Party and Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Suite Lounge this Friday. NFL Buffalo Bills player Corey White is expected to make an appearance during the birthday bash and NFL weekend kickoff festivities that night. The party starts at 10 p.m., and attendance is free until midnight with a RSVP. During the event, DJ Kash and DJ Pnut will be playing the hits, and the night will be broadasted live on V-103. The party ends at 3 a.m.
10 p.m. Saturday, May 6
Toppings Lounge
495 Whitehall St. SW, Atlanta
Party like it's the 1990s at Toppings Lounge this Saturday at 10 p.m. King_3k, the event's organizer, encourages everyone to break out their 1990s gear, such as windbreakers, overalls and Reeboks, to look fly and ready to get "jiggy with it." If your outfit matches up with the best dressed of the beloved decade, you'll get in free all night as soon as the party starts. However, it isn't mandatory to dress up. So, let the evening of Cross Colours vibes and hip-hop take you to another place and time all the way until 3 in the morning.
Noon Sunday, May 7
Big Sky Buckhead
3201 Cains Hill Place NW, Atlanta
Toast Live ATL is taking day drinking to a whole new level. This Sunday from noon to 8 p.m., they are holding a brunch party at Big Sky Buckhead that's free to get in compete with food from Big Sky's new brunch menu. There's also bottomless mimosas until 4 p.m. The big screens will also feature Atlanta United FC's big game Sunday. A party wouldn't be one without the music, so expect live tunes from EDM bands Voyage Fromage and Funk Manchu Sunday along with tropical house, nu disco, funk and more spinning all day and night.
This party is one of Big Sky's events in the #toastbrunchseries that takes place the first Sunday of the month.
