Excited for Music Midtown? Forecasts that initially predicted rain and thunderstorms this weekend appear to be clearing up.

A 20 percent chance of rain is predicted for both Saturday and Sunday. Both days are expected to be cloudy. Saturday has a high of 81 degrees while Sunday has a high of 85 degrees.

The festival is a rain or shine event. "Ticket user bears all risks, including cancellation of the event and of inclement weather," according to the organizers.

If it rains, Music Midtown festival ticket-holders will want to invest in a good pair of rainboots and a poncho to make it through the weekend. Music Midtown bans umbrellas and backpacks, even in the case of rain.

Organizers did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Music Midtown was inundated with rain in 2013. The festival was not canceled, but the rain coupled with 50,000 people caused major damage to Piedmont Park.

In 2015, TomorrowWorld organizers barred access to the event due to the messy conditions of the festival grounds brought on by all the rain and refunded ticket purchasers.
