David Letterman has been getting quite the send-off from his closest celebrity friends over the past week.
But we had a feeling Bill Murray would top them all. And he definitely took the cake. No, really, he did.

Gotta love watching Bill Murray smear David Letterman with a big old icing hug! And in case you're wondering, he sat through the entire interview like that. Talk about getting baked.
Bill was Dave's first-ever guest on the "Late Show" all the way back in 1993, so of course, his last appearance had to be one of the best. And it definitely was.
The entertainment world just couldn't stop talking about Murray's entrance. Entertainment Tonight called it "a truly sweet send-off."
And as The Huffington Post perfectly put it, "No one makes an entrance like Bill Murray."
We're not sure anything can top Bill Murray bursting out of a cake, but hopefully, Dave's final appearance as host of the "Late Show" will at least compete.
The seasoned late-night host will retire after Wednesday night's show.
