As the world continues to mourn the death of NBA great Kobe Bryant, fans have recognized another way to honor the 18-time All Star.

A petition was launched on Change.org Sunday to have the NBA logo changed to a silhouette of Bryant, and Atlanta performers Usher and T.I. are among those backing it.

On Jan. 26, Nick M. began a petition aimed at the NBA calling for the official logo to change in honor of the star who spent his 20-year career in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. In two days, the petition generated more than half a million signatures. The goal is to gain 3 million before presenting it to the NBA.

“Wow. I truly cannot express this, the support from you guys has been overwhelmingly amazing...I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this petition and made it possible. All of this is for Kobe! I wish Kobe was still here and I never had to make this petition to begin with. But sadly that isn’t the case, my condolences go out to the Bryant family and everyone who was involved in this accident. Once again thank you all. ‘Mamba out’.

Among the backers are Atlanta’s own Usher, who shared a post on Instagram Monday night of a mock-up for a potential NBA logo featuring the five-time championship winner.

“Couldn’t be a better time or all around athlete and person for it. #changethelogo,” Usher captioned the image. Fellow Atlantan and mega producer Jermaine Dupri was among those who liked the post.

Additionally, T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, also shared a post supporting the logo switch.

Bryant was reportedly heading to a basketball game with his 13-year-old, her teammate and the teammate’s parents. All nine people on board were killed when the helicopter crashed on a remote hillside near Calabasas, Calif. Reports said Bryant had planned to coach the game in nearby Thousand Oaks, Calif. at his Mamba Academy.
