UPDATE:  Entertainment Weekly reports that TLC has canceled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." TLC released the following statement: "TLC has canceled the series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority.TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."

TMZ is reporting that June Shannon, better known as Mama June, the mother to the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" clan, is now dating a man who just got out of prison for molesting one of her relatives.

Mark McDaniel was convicted in 2004 of aggravated child molestation after police say he forced oral sex on an 8-year-old girl. According to TMZ, June was dating McDaniel at the time he was arrested.  He served 10 years in prison and was just released this past March. He is now registered as a sex offender in Georgia. The identity and relationship of the girl to Shannon was not revealed in the report.

The two have apparently been dating for a few months. Producers of the TLC hit show say they have learned of this situation and are 'reassessing the future of the series.'
