Stamos confirmed it on his Twitter feed.
All of the original cast, except for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who played Michelle Tanner, will return for the series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the plot of "Fuller House" will focus on a widowed, pregnant D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who is living in San Francisco with her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy Gibbler, who is also a single mom in the show.
It is scheduled to premiere in 2016.
