Justin Bieber has had enough of the haters.
Bieber has been spotted hanging out with Lionel Richie’s daughter, Sofia, and fans aren't too happy about it. After they made their opinions of Bieber’s new rumored girlfriend known, Bieber took to Instagram to defend her.
Sharing a black-and-white photo of the pair, he wrote, "I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like."
But it didn't stop there, according to New York Magazine. Enter Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, who reportedly commented on the photo, "If you can't handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol- It should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you."
New York Magazine reports that fans posted screenshots of a response that appeared to be from Bieber.
"It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love," he reportedly wrote, adding, "I'm not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my beliebers."
Gomez also posted a collage of her fans with the caption, "My whole life. You matter most. Thank you (for) letting me do what I love every day."
As for Richie, she has been popping up on Bieber’s Instagram page lately, and the photos have sparked romance rumors. He has also made a few appearances on her Instagram page.
E! News reports that the rumors are just that: The couple are "just friends," and it's "nothing serious."
