Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea has been found safe and in good health in New Jersey, hours after the television personality announced the 17-year-old had gone missing from their home in Nyack, New York, according to the Washington Post.

"Rosie wants to thank everyone for their help, especially the South Nyack, NY and Barneget Light, NJ police departments," O'Donnell's spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, said in a statement, according to the report. "Her daughter Chelsea O'Donnell has been located by the police and is safe in their custody."

O'Donnell said Chelsea, 17, left with Bear, a six-month-old black terrier therapy dog, on Aug. 11 in the Rockland County area, according to O'Donnell.

"Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention," O'Donnell posted on her blog.

Police in the Nyack, New York area had been searching for her since Aug. 16.
