Report: Honey Boo Boo relative tried to sell stories, photos to Fox News

A member of Honey Boo Boo's family tried selling photos and stories to Fox News' entertainment division, the outlet reported in an update about controversy swirling around the former reality-show personalities.

"FOX411 can reveal that Lee Thompson tried to sell a story to us when we reached out to him for comment about (June) Shannon allegedly dating (Mark) McDaniel," the outlet reported.

“For the true real story about all of this and photos, how much is it worth to y'all?” Thompson allegedly wrote.

"FOX411 does not buy stories and did not hear from Thompson again after we made that clear to him," the network said.

Known on the show as "Uncle Poodle," Thompson said in a recent post on his public Facebook page that "I never sold a story," although members of the Boo Boo clan have accused him of doing so in social-media posts of their own. One of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's sisters, Lauryn, said in a post that Thompson and his partner "HAVE BEEN SELLING FALSE STORIES AND MAKING MONEY."

Meanwhile, Alana's older sister Anna discussed the molestation she allegedly suffered as a child when McDaniel was dating her mother on "Entertainment Tonight."

And an online petition and Facebook page have sprung up to demand a return or reboot of the show, presumably minus the embattled Mama June.
