Brad Pitt reported for jury duty last Friday at a Los Angeles court but was dismissed for being a potential distraction according to a report from the DailyMail.com.
According to the DailyMail report, Pitt, who turned 51 Thursday, showed up with dozens of other potential jurors and waited hours at the court before being told his services were not needed.
“Brad was hoping he might get picked to serve on a short case,” an unidentified source told DailyMail.com. “But the problem was, he would actually be required to serve for as long as it took for the case to be decided.”
This was not the first time Pitt was turned away from attempting to fulfill his civic duty. In 2007 People reported Pitt was dismissed from a Los Angeles jury pool. People reported Pitt wore a juror badge and had a Subway sandwich for lunch but was released without being selected.
