Don't waste this beautiful fall week working and forgetting to have fun and take care of yourself.
After you've tended to the responsibilities of #adulting, make time to attend a concert or dine with loved ones around metro Atlanta.
Here are our top suggestions for things to do this week:
Pentatonix, who recently released a Christmas album, will perform a generous blend of original singles and covers during their show in Duluth.
8 p.m. Nov. 16. $29.50-$75. Infinite Energy Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. Infiniteenergycenter.com.
Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company opens its season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-award winning play “Proof.” The play tackles themes such as miscommunication in familial and romantic relationships and mental illness.
Times vary. Oct. 25-Nov. 20. $20-$35. Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, Atlanta. Truecolorstheatre.org.
OVO artist PartyNextDoor has been working hard to solidify a place for himself in the pop music landscape, first with the Drake-assisted hit “Recognize” and then by co-writing Rihanna’s hit single “Work.” Expect to hear songs from his most recent album “PartyNextDoor 3” when he visits Atlanta this week.
Joining the Canadian singer is Jeremih, who has released R&B hits such as “Oui” and “Don’t Tell 'Em” in recent years.
In addition to touring together, the duo is preparing to release a joint album.
8 p.m. Nov. 14. $44. The Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St., Atlanta. Tabernacleatl.com.
Visit an “escape room” with a fun twist this week. Escape Woods is a three-course escape adventure on Sleepy Hollow Farms in Powder Springs.
Escape from a 1950s-style nuclear bunker, a serial killer’s home or an archaeological site in one of the company’s three courses.
See if you can escape the courses in the hour allotted for $28. Tickets can be purchased at escapewoods.com.
Maybe you don’t have time to go to a concert or an “escape room” this week, but you’re still looking for a way to unwind from a stressful day. Food is the answer. Specifically, pho.
The Vietnamese soup is the perfect comfort food for a fall day and the AJC dining blog has two suggestions for where to get some of the best pho in metro Atlanta.
Spoiler alert: Both places are on Buford Highway.
