Created to promote the Old 4th Ward and commemorate the “Great Atlanta Fire of 1917,” the festival will take place on Edgewood and Auburn Avenues between Boulevard and Jackson Street from 3 p.m.-11 p.m. on May 20.

The festival will take place almost one hundred years to the day of the May 21, 1917 fire. More than 300 acres and 1,938 homes were destroyed as a result of what is now known as the "Great Atlanta Fire of 1917," according to an AJC article about the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917.
